If you want to be highly successful in your niche, you need to be recognized by those interested in the niche. One cheap and effective way to create awareness for your brand or products is by using CTO of Blitzmetrics Dennis Yu’s dollar a day strategy.
Dennis was kind enough to stop by the Flowster Inner Circle group and explain the strategy to us (video above). He also created the Dollar a Day Facebook Ad Success Strategy SOP in the Flowster Marketplace with step by step instruction on how to build ad sequences, retarget through the buyer’s journey, and how to actually implement the dollar-a-day strategy and measure its success.
The SOP is also embedded at the bottom of this post so take a peek and add it to your own internal process!
What is the Dollar a Day Strategy?
The dollar a day strategy is a simple and effective way to boost social media content. Using Facebook or Twitter advertising, you can boost your content and target specific audiences to grow awareness.
The reason it’s called the dollar a day strategy is due to the daily ad spend limit being, you guessed it, one dollar. This low budget lets you test many pieces of content simultaneously to see what performs best. Then, you can increase the budget on high performing content and/or create similar content.
The end goal is to find 9 high performing pieces of content. Three pieces each in the awareness, engagement and conversion categories. This will give you a successful ad funnel toward your brand or product by retargeting individuals from the previous step in the buyer journey.
All at $1 a day per ad!
Seven Key Steps to the Dollar a Day Strategy
At a high level, the seven steps necessary to implement the dollar a day strategy include:
- Setup Facebook Business Manager (if you haven’t already done so)
- Create awareness, engagement and conversion content
- Build your campaign
- Built your ad sets (one ad set per ad – so three ad sets per campaign)
- Set daily budget as one dollar
- Set up retargeting campaigns
- Test and optimize ads
